Wheel of The Year - Single Malt

The 5th in the Wheel of the Years Series this release honours the ancient Celtic celebration of Grianstad an Gheimhridh, the winter solstice. Grianstad translates to ‘the stopping of the sun’, and Dingle Grianstad an Gheimhridh Single Malt is a testament to a time of year that is all about the dark of night drawing in.

DISTILLATION

Triple distilled. ALC/VOL 50.5% and non-chill filtered

MATURATION

NOSE

Matured in Bourbon casks with a Tawny Port cask finish, Dingle Grianstad an Gheimhridh Single Malt expresses aromas of cinnamon toast and warm ginger

TASTE

The palate brings chocolate with a sense of warm cloves and creamy soft fudge

FINISH

Finishes mellow, leaving a lingering sweetness

Signature Serve

Pineapple Express

INGREDIENTS

30ml Dingle Single Malt
25ml pineapple juice
25ml orange juice
15ml lime juice
15ml sugar syrup
60ml soda water

METHOD

Shake (or stir) all ingredients except the soda water with ice until well chilled. Strain into a glass filled with fresh ice, then top off with soda water.

Garnish with a slice of orange and enjoy.
